Norwegian Sun re-entered service January 25th after undergoing a multi-million dollar 12-day dry dock during which the ship received extensive renovations focused on enhancing the guest experience. Some of the improvements are:

- New decor in all 20 suites
- The addition of Norwegian's popular Brazilian steakhouse, Moderno Churrascaria
- Refurbished the Kid's Crew
- Improvements to the ship's energy efficiency
